our dryer timer knob had a crack in it and I couldn't turn on the dryer
The repair was as easy as popping on a new knob. The order came in 24 hours and the illustration of the appliance made it simple to know what part number to order. I would highly recommend this site to friends and family.

Back Drum Bearing Worn Out
It took about 20 minutes, first I popped the top off using a flat screwdriver in my leatherman and removed the wires on the door switch then two screws holding the front on, and then I removed the drum which took a little longer because the belt tensioner was difficult to release because of limited space. Removed old bearing (ball and socket) and replaced with new one. I then reassembled in reverse order. Working great. . .

The core of the dryer knob breaks and then fails to turn the dial to select dryer options.
It is easy, remove the old knob - it virtually falls off - and slide on the new one. Wait a year and buy a new one as the failure will have repeated - there is a design flaw with this assembly.
