My dryer wouldn't start, I saw the part on your website after reading comments from other people
I put the nob on the post, one side is flat the rest of the lever on the dryer is round. So I matched up the lever with he inside of the new knob and slid it on . The dryer works perfectly. I ordered it on May 5 th and the nob arrived May 15 th. I guess Georgia is a long way from Arizona. But the part fit perfectly and I am happy. Thankyou.

The Start knob broke off
At first the knob seemed like it would not fit on, but after I sprayed it with WD-40 oil, it slipped with a gentle, steady push

no heat, but still tumbling
Good thing my husband is so handy. This part was very difficult to get to. Basically, he had to take apart almost the whole dryer. There is no access door so the side panel had to be removed, but before you could do that the front panel and door had to come off, then the top of the dryer. Keep track of the screws, we had a few leftover! But the dryer works great again and we hope to get several more years out of it. We've had no problems with it until now and it's over 15 yrs. old.

Back Drum Bearing Worn Out
It took about 20 minutes, first I popped the top off using a flat screwdriver in my leatherman and removed the wires on the door switch then two screws holding the front on, and then I removed the drum which took a little longer because the belt tensioner was difficult to release because of limited space. Removed old bearing (ball and socket) and replaced with new one. I then reassembled in reverse order. Working great. . .

Start knob was broken off flush with switch
I turned off the power, unscrewed the 4 screws from the top of the dryer. I then opened it and turned the switch that was in there counterclockwise exactly as utube video said to do. I then took off the two wires from the old switch. The rotary start switch fix right in where the old one was. I put the panel back together, put on the old knob and turned the power back on! It took less than 15 minutes from start to finish! If I can do it anyone can! Joanne Klinkhammer Cecil, Wisconsin

Timers are made to turn clockwise and break when turned counter clockwise
We are a retirement community and when we opened March '07 the company purchased GE washer and dryers to go in our common area laundry rooms for the residents to use. Because of their age, they will often turn the knob counter clockwise and not the right diirection which breaks the device which is not good. With in 3 days of installation they had broken 2 of the new knobs.
But, the ordering was simple, the shipment was fast and the install was quick for the maintenance tech.

broken spindle which required a total switch replacement.
It took longer to vaccume the lint out of the machine than to change the part.
The part replacement is done without any tools.
My wife could have done it

Start switch broke off
I followed the video instructions. I did have to run to the hardware store to pick up a torx screwdriver but otherwise the instructions were perfect. I generally hire someone to do repairs, but this was too easy! I highly recommend doing this yourself as it is definitely a time and money saver. The website made ordering easy and the part arrived quickly!

Dryer runs but no heat
I first checked the heating element by peeking through the peek hole in the front to see if it was turning on. The heating element turned on but gas failed to flow. Next, I checked all sensors including the fuse, they were all fine. This points to the solenoid as the cause of the issue. So I replaced the solenoids and the problem solved. I did watch the YouTube video on how to check the sensors and replace faulty parts.

Dryer would not start.
Checked all thermostats, they were good. Circuit was getting 220 vac. Eventually found fuse in the back near the heating element, same was bad. By-passed same, and when we did, the timer Popped & arched !. Not sure why. Motor protectrion fuse found to be good. Heating elements good. Fuse was the only bad part found, never figured out what caused it to blow. Appliance was taken away after purchase of new one. Problem not found or resolved by self diagnostics. Originally the exhaust duct was somewhat clogged with lint, but not severely.

Dryer drum seized
Had to pry dryer front off drum because buttons had caught between glide and felt causing excessive heat that melted the glide to the felt. Removed old felt from dryer front and replaced glide then reassembled machine. Took longer overall time because I did not realize two glide parts were needed so repair was delayed until second glide was received.
