The drive belt was too old and it broke. It was not draining the water inside the dishwasher.
I opened the bottom part of the dishwasher, from there you can see all parts of the motor including the pulleys where the broken belt came from. From here, I took the new belt, placed some silicon all around it and installed it by rotating the pulleys clockwise until the belt wraps around it.
Then I tested it by turning the control on the Wash/Rinse mode and it started to drain the water right away.
DONE!
NO PROBLEM!!!
PS.
THANK YOU FOR DELIVERING IT ON TIME.

belt on old maytag dishwasher broke
removed screws that secured cover plates. discovered that belt was broken. ordered new belt. ordered friday; delivered monday. read some previous repair experiences.
the trick to getting belt onto the pulleys is to first wrap it around the spindle part. then set the belt into the motor pulley groove. carefully start working the belt in the other pulley into the groove while rotating both pulleys. i had to lay on my stomach on the floor to do this, but it did not take very long. once the belt is in place, lubricate it with the included gel. took about 20 minutes with some trial and error.

The hot water supply hose developed a bulge that was due to blow soon.
Shut off the hot water supply (pretty sharp eh?). Disconnected the hose from the hw supply and the at the connection to the washing machine. These had not been touched in at least 15 years and were somewhat tough to loosen but finally came ..... accessibility was a problem for the connection to the water supply as it was in a recessed wall box. Fortunately, we had some washers for the hose connections so the install was a snap. Hardest part of the whole job was moving the washing machine out from between the drier and the wash tub .... tight fit. Thanks for the quick service and to FED EX for their delivery. The delivery fellow was a real gentleman.

Detergent cup would not dispense/open
It is realatively simple to replace the dispenser cup. Revove the 4 screws on the inside edge of the door (Not the upper screws for the upper
control panel). The front cover will come away exposing the dispenser cup. Using a 1/4 nut driver
remove the 6 (I think) screws after unplugging the electrical connector. (Be sure & replace in the same position.) After removing the screws, the unit will easily come away. Clean the old gasket remnants & crud well and place the new gasket and cup in line with the nut holes.

Soap Dispenser did not always open due to leak around the stem
Removed front panel by removing four screws. Used 5/16 nut driver to remove six screws holding dispenser and disconnected two wires. Inserted new dispenser and reattached cover. Longest time taken was to realign cover properly. Best approach seemed to install with door as near vertical as possible and to start screws by hand. ONLY FOUR screws hold the panel in place. Very easy repair for anyone. part arrived sooner than expected.

Broken belt
This was a pain to change due to very limited access. Also belt had very little stretch. Had to really put some thought in it before attempting.

Detergent cup wouldn't open during wash cycle
Firstly, I'm a 58 year old female and this repair was relatively easy for me, thanks to all the marvelous instructions on this site from others who made this same repair. Like the others, I removed the four lower screws on the INSIDE of the door along either outer edge. Before that, in error, I removed the four screws along the very bottom of the door, big mistake, hard to get them back in correctly. Removed the door panel and took out the 6 nuts from the dispenser cup, slipped the electrical clip thingys from the posts by slightly wiggling them straigt off, remember which color goes where. Cleaned the area around the old gasket and reattached the new gasket and dispenser cup. This was a little tricky holding it in place from the inside while using the nut drive on the outside. Whew! That was the hardest part for me. Thanks to all for the previous detailed instructions. I now have really clean dishes! Yay! Great feeling of accomplishment.
