KUDI22XX0 KitchenAid Dishwasher - Instructions

the tube slid off and I used some liquid soap to spread on the end of each tube and I slid the new tube back on with ease and the upper rack of dishes now get cleaned/rinsed.

Our old Kitchenaid Dishwasher was not getting the glasses on the top shelf clean. I looked and found the tube running to the washer arm under the top basket was split.
I replaced the tube. First I put dish soap in the ends of the new tube, so they slipped onto the other parts with only moderate force.
Now the dishwasher is making the glasses in the top basket clean again.

The tube had holes from being used but the dishwasher still works great. I researched this part and it was a great price and really easy to fix. The picture looks different than what the tube looks like in the dishwasher but it is correct. Definitely put soap on the ends to help glide it on. Took me 2 minutes to fix.

The replacement worked fine, but the website could have been a bit more re-assuring in terms of showing the image of the part. It was not possible on the website to determine whether the piece was going to fit, as the piece as shown was flat/oval on both ends, where the fitting for the water feed is round. The site could have explained that this was flexible material that would form itself to the round feed connection. The measurements of the part should also be given. The price was right, so I bought it anyway, and hoped. As I have said, it DID work fine. You need to clarify the item on the website.

Removed the old part. It came out with no problem
due to being brittle and cracked. This part was original to my 15 1/2 year old dishwasher.

Ran hot tap water in the sink and soaked the new "Rubber Water Delivery Tube" for about 5 min. I put a little dish washing liquid on dishwasher part where tube was to be slid onto. Including the soaking time,repair took less than 5 1/2 min.

I'm very pleased by the fact that my part arrived in a little over 1 1/2 days.

Was lucky the part was available. I put liquid detergent on both ends of tube, then slid each end onto each sleeve. Works great now!

I removed the old tube. I rubbed vegetable oil on the inside of both ends. The new tube slipped on with no
problem, and that was the end of the repair.

I was goingto go to Home-Depot, and purchase a short piece of tubing to make the repair.
Just for the "heck" of it, I looked on-line --- and there it was. It is a large diameter thin wall tube, because water presiue is low, almost zero.
However, the replacement part was only $8,25, so I figured, what the heck, I can wait a few days and purchased the part from PartSelect.com. I lubricated the new tube with soap, to make the slip-fit go on easier and -------------- Done

Old roller wheels and axles were broken and already falling off. I simply replaced the roller axles and snapped on the new roller wheels.

Simply inserted the new rubber hose on the two fittings - a couple of minutes at most

First I pulled off the tube that was hanging down and obstructing the rotation of the top spinner. Then I just reinserted the new tube. I'm a "do it your selfer" and I usually fix things by my self. But the few times that I've failed lived forever in my wife's memory. She dreaded my fooling with a machine that had outlived it's life. I promised that the job would only take about five minutes. She heard this before and resigned herself to having parts all over the kitchen floor and a full day of catastrophe. First the water tube arrived two days earlier than what I was expecting. I pulled the old tube off and slipped the new tube on by hand. The dishes in the top rack are now a lot cleaner than they have been for the past couple of months. In the future if I need repair parts this is where I will be coming to get them.
