Very, very simple. The axles are nylon plastic and snap into the plastic-coated metal grid that forms the lower dishwasher rack. Over time they get brittle and break.
Replacement consists of snapping the old axle out of the rack and snapping the new one in. I replaced some of the wheels at the same time, as we had lost them. The wheels don't seem to wear out, so if you did this repair in time, you could re-use the wheels.
These little axles are EXPENSIVE ($3.50 each!), but for $30 you can replace all eight of them, and your dishwasher rack will work like new again!

New tube was a little tight, so I heated it with a hair dryer and used dish washing detergent - Joy - as a lubricant. Then the tube slipped on easily.

First the water tube arrived two days earlier than what I was expecting. I pulled the old tube off and slipped the new tube on by hand. The dishes in the top rack are now a lot cleaner than they have been for the past couple of months. In the future if I need repair parts this is where I will be coming to get them.

removed the two cover in front of the dishwasher then removed the water inlet valve located behind these covers. replaced the old valve with a new valve by connecting the water supply line and the outlet hose going to the dishwasher.

I removed the broken axle with the help of a small screwdriver and replaced it with a new one. Then I installed a new roller, which was easy because all I had to do was push it on with my fingers.

One of the easiest repairs I've ever made on anything and now I'm happy because my wife is happy!

For several years I endured difficulty in pushing in and pulling out a fully loaded lower dishwasher tray in my KitchenAid Superba dishwasher. The tray would "fall out" out of its "track" and jam requiring me to lift up the whole tray to try to pull it out. Then one of the plastic roller "axles" broke and its wheel fell off. So I went on to Part Select's website to find a replacement. When I got it in the mail I replaced the one that broke. I noticed how much more rigid the wheel then ran on its "track." Took the tube off and noted that there was a factory drilled hole on the underside that lets water drain. I slipped the new tube over the inlet port and the other end over the rotating washing arm aparatus port and everything worked fine. Very easy and fast repair.

Pulled off old tube, applied small amount of lubricant to each end of tube, then just pushed ends together. Slide right on, attached new support and in less then five minutes, fixed. Dishwasher running like new.

This was sooo easy. The key was the "tip" on this website to lubricate the parts with dish soap. They slid right on. It works perfectly. Most important, I am a Hero with the wife ... that gets special rewards!!

Took the old one off then used canola oil to put on the inside of the tube and it went on easy.

I pulled out the old hose and pushed in the new one. Took a little muscle, but was glad that it fit. On line site very helpful with description so that it fit perfectly!

Simply popped on new axles and wheels and dishwasher works like new!
