Dishes in top of washer were not getting clean.
Our diskwasher is over 20 years old. The manufacture did not even list the model anymore. Googled - Kitchenaid parts old. Found your site and order the part on Sat. night. It arrived on Wed. Installed as follows that night.
After reading other reviews on how the job went and seeing that people had problems getting the tube to slide on the outlets I decided to take the rack completely apart so as to have unrestricted access to the connections. Would be easier to work the tube on to them.

First I removed the top rack by releasing the two retainers on the upper rack side rails which hold it up. Then I turned it with bottom up and released all of the plastic clips that held the bottom half of the rack in place. If a clip breaks you can use a nylon cable tie to replace it. Then I took out the screw that holds the metal water bar in place and removed it. Then I took out the screw that holds the plastic part that the water bar was mounted on off. Then with the outlet where the tube was to be mounted not connected to anything it was easy to slide the tube on it. I then was able to slide the tube on to the bracket at the back of the rack. Had to use a screw driver to help get the tube over the round outlet. Then worked it on to where it should be. Reassembled the top rack and put it back on the side rails and washed a load. It worked just like it did when it was new. Saved a service call $75.00 and only took about 30 minutes working at a slow pace.
Love it when everything works like it should.

Dishes and glasses were not clean - soap residue
Finally listened to advice of others online and decided to replace inlet valve. Btw, the problem is NOT the inlet screen. It was completely clean in my case. Issue is with internal seals that swell over time and restrict flow leading to low water level.

Unplugged unit, removed lower front panel (two screws on outside upper corners), undid compression fitting on inlet supply line, removed two screws holding valve bracket to frame, disconnected electrical connections to valve, used pliers to compress hose clamp to remove valve outlet hose, used adjustable wrench and some elbow grease to remove small inlet elbow (its on tight!) from valve inlet, put teflon tape on elbow threads to reinstall on new valve, reverse removal instructions to put everything back. All done! MUCH cleaner dishes!

Bottom tray of dishwasher started to rust and pins were falling.
First I had to buy a new tray. I tried to remove the wheels from the old tray but they wouldn't come off without breaking. I ordered new wheels and axels and they went on fine with the aid of a C-clamp. Then I tried to remove the old bumpers but they broke when I tried to remove them.
So, I ordered two new bumpers. When I did I saw that another user had posted a note saying that the new bumpers slipped on well if heated in hot water first. So, I heated them in hot water and they slipped on easily and safely.

Easy as pie!
So easy I could do it! I pulled the old tube off (after having dirty dishes for weeks and not realizing it was because of a hole in the hose. When I told my husband I was going to call a repairman, he suggesting ordering the part on line and doing it ourselves - no reason not to! Piece of cake!

I removed the old hose, I lightly coated the id of the new tube with vasoline, both ends, and then heated the oblong end with the hair dryer to soften it and it slid on with litte force. The round end installed without heating.

worn rubber tube water feed to upper spin arm in dishwasher
The replacement worked fine, but the website could have been a bit more re-assuring in terms of showing the image of the part. It was not possible on the website to determine whether the piece was going to fit, as the piece as shown was flat/oval on both ends, where the fitting for the water feed is round. The site could have explained that this was flexible material that would form itself to the round feed connection. The measurements of the part should also be given. The price was right, so I bought it anyway, and hoped. As I have said, it DID work fine. You need to clarify the item on the website.
