KUDH23HY1 KitchenAid Dishwasher - Instructions

First the water tube arrived two days earlier than what I was expecting. I pulled the old tube off and slipped the new tube on by hand. The dishes in the top rack are now a lot cleaner than they have been for the past couple of months. In the future if I need repair parts this is where I will be coming to get them.

I removed clips on the end of the rack, removed the rack, and pulled old tube off. Used plain water as a lubricant to ease replacement of new tube on the dilated end. Very easy!

Took old one off and put new one on, about a 4 minute job.
The part was about 1/3 of the cost if I had bought it local.

I ordered the part and I received it in just 2 days. I took the old rubber water tube off, put a little soap on each end of the new tube and had it in in under 10 minutes. I am a woman in her 60's and I did this myself!

First I pulled off the tube that was hanging down and obstructing the rotation of the top spinner. Then I just reinserted the new tube. I'm a "do it your selfer" and I usually fix things by my self. But the few times that I've failed lived forever in my wife's memory. She dreaded my fooling with a machine that had outlived it's life. I promised that the job would only take about five minutes. She heard this before and resigned herself to having parts all over the kitchen floor and a full day of catastrophe. Old tube was falling off, but new one was really easy to install. Put a little soap on the inside as a lubricant. I was thrilled with this; the website was really easy to navigate. Found the part I needed in minutes & the part came very quickly. Thanks!

The tube had a huge hole in it. It was very easy to replace - I just pulled off the old one and put on the new. The cool thing was how easy it was to find the exact part I needed online in less than 5 minutes. Gotta love the internet!

I was goingto go to Home-Depot, and purchase a short piece of tubing to make the repair.
Just for the "heck" of it, I looked on-line --- and there it was. It is a large diameter thin wall tube, because water presiue is low, almost zero.
However, the replacement part was only $8,25, so I figured, what the heck, I can wait a few days and purchased the part from PartSelect.com. I lubricated the new tube with soap, to make the slip-fit go on easier and -------------- Done

Old roller wheels and axles were broken and already falling off. I simply replaced the roller axles and snapped on the new roller wheels.

Simply inserted the new rubber hose on the two fittings - a couple of minutes at most

This was sooo easy. The key was the "tip" on this website to lubricate the parts with dish soap. They slid right on. It works perfectly. Most important, I am a Hero with the wife ... that gets special rewards!!

Very, very simple. The axles are nylon plastic and snap into the plastic-coated metal grid that forms the lower dishwasher rack. Over time they get brittle and break.
Replacement consists of snapping the old axle out of the rack and snapping the new one in. I replaced some of the wheels at the same time, as we had lost them. The wheels don't seem to wear out, so if you did this repair in time, you could re-use the wheels.
These little axles are EXPENSIVE ($3.50 each!), but for $30 you can replace all eight of them, and your dishwasher rack will work like new again!

I had repaired the hose with duck tape several times, and finally was able to convince my husband to look up the model number etc. went on line to see if I could locate a dealer to get the hose, and that was so easy,
Ordered it, it came in 2 days, and my dishwasher works great again.

It was so easy just took off the old hose and snapped in the new one.

Slipped old one off slid new one on . Took about one minute. Held well and is washing so much better now.

The replacement worked fine, but the website could have been a bit more re-assuring in terms of showing the image of the part. It was not possible on the website to determine whether the piece was going to fit, as the piece as shown was flat/oval on both ends, where the fitting for the water feed is round. The site could have explained that this was flexible material that would form itself to the round feed connection. The measurements of the part should also be given. The price was right, so I bought it anyway, and hoped. As I have said, it DID work fine. You need to clarify the item on the website.
