Dishwasher was leaking at the front, just below the door
I measured the length of the gasket, using the old one to measure the length. Cut it to that length and installed it. VERY SIMPLE TO DO! But it didn't stop my leak--turns out there was a small leak in the bottom of the tub that was easily fixed with some silicone. The dishwasher's like new now!

Cap would not close
At first I wasn't sure; I thought I had to buy the inner panel of the door. Considering that I have to minimize expenses I made it a point to tackle the problem myself. I unscrewed the outter panel off the dishwasher door and located the dispenser from inside of the inner door panel.

I unplugged the old dispenser, which was damaged, unscrewed it from the panel and removed it. I cleaned any and all debris, dirt and soap scum it had accumilated over the short years we've owned it.

Finally; after I prepared the new dispenser for installation, I placed it in position screwed it in and plugged it in, which was slightly tricky because it is pretty snug against the inside door panel. Once installed, I got my older son, 15, to help me screw in the outside panel of the door, and as he held it I screwed it on the the inside panel.

I tested it with no dishes inside by pouring just a little detergent in the new dispenser, starting the dishwasher and I stuck around in case there were any leaks or any other possible disaster that could occur.

This was exactly one week ago and all is still well. By the way, the person who took my order, I believe her name was Joann, was great. She talked to me making certain I had the right part, which I was unsure of since the diagram on your site was not quite clear. On top of that; I didn't pay for overnight service, yet my part was at my door the next day. I was amazed at the quick service and delivery. Thanks Joann!!!

Gasket leak
First I pulled out the old gasket and replaced with the new one. The new one is too long on purpose but only had to be trimmed a little for a perfect fit. Very easy and now no leaks.

Latch handle broke due to age and heat stress on plastic.
The repair was relatively easy and I probably saved enough money as to not have to buy another dishwasher. The part alone was $42. A service call and installation would have made it not cost effective to fix.
The control panel is loosened with phillips head screws on the inside of the door. The latch is attached with the "star" shaped screws. I did not own one of these drivers so I had to leave the house to get one. I used pliers to disconncet the clips from their connections as to not pull the wires from the clips.
