motor noise.
Most time spent was removing washer out from beneath the counter. Motor and pump installation was a breeze. Everything I needed was in the kit and easy to follow the instructions provided. Saved a lot of money and washer runs perfect. Thank you.

Pump valve leaking
I disconnected the water line on the left-front. Disconnected the drain line at the air-break. I removed the AC power-in box on the right front and disconnected the power lines going to the unit. I took out the two screws holding the unit to the cabinet (above the door) and slid the unit out onto a drop cloth (protect the floor; some water spills). Pulled the unit out and turned over. Followed the directions with the motor & pump valve kit, which were very easy to follow. Then reversed the above. Nut drivers are a must for this job.

broken tower
removed old tower uuing a screwdriver to losen the tower from rack and slid the new part into place.

Timer Knob Assembly
Plastic contacts on knob broke off which caused the timer to not function. I tried to glue the pieces together but the repair was unsuccessful. I had the parts list from Kenmore and I went on line to order the part. I ordered the part on Wednesday and the part arrived on Friday. The part fit perfectly and now the dishwasher is oparating correctly. Thank you.

would not clean the dishes
I unscrewed the lower spray arm and support assembly and then screwed the new part in. Very easy.

The rinse aid fill cap was stripped.

rusted out upper rack needed replacement
using small flat head screwdriver popped off clips at end of runners --rolled in new rack-- inserted clips back into runners

tower cap broke
simply snap new one in place. I will have to say your service was fantastic. I received the new cap 2nd day. I am very pleased and would not hesitate to order something else if needed.

Old rinse aid fill cap broke off at base
I removed the broken stub of the old fill cap with a screw remover. This was the only part that wasn't easy. The new cap fit fine.

motor fan broke
I took the dishwasher out from under the sink and looked at the pump and motor, saw that the cooling fan that this old style motor used was broke. Ordered this kit and installed it. I didn't even look at the directions that simple of a swap. Thank God!

Old pump leaking
The motor/pump Kit I purchased could fix/be installed in any GE dishwasher made since 1970. I would guess that the one I have is about 15-20 years old. I encountered only one small problem with the kit------ a motor hanger that had to be bent a bit to fit correctly. Other than that it was a total breeze. The clear instructions included in the kit helped quite a bit. In 30 minutes or so ,I was done and our machine was back in operation

Replace door gasket
Removed old gasket. Then cleaned the track with a strong paper towel soaked in Windex to remove accumulated scale/soap. Followed the instructions provided with the gasket. I did not need to remove any screws from the door nor did I need to tumble the gasket in a dryer to remove kinks (There really were no kinks in the gasket, as supplied.). I did use a mirror to locate where the gasket should go underneath the bottom of the door, which you can't see. Feeling for the track with your fingers was sufficient for the installation.
