Watched online video and followed instructions

I watched the video that you had on line and the repair was done in a snap. The shipping was fast also.

Made sure the power and water were not connected to the dishwasher. Removed the bottom panel. Unhooked the old part. Put some plumber's tape around the threads, hooked it all back up. Runs just as good.

Followed vidio instructionson web site. Quick easy fix

The top of the latch was broken on I had to push the plunger back through the mounting to get it out. ai had to pull the whole assembly apart to get the locking nut out. i remove the latch assy and took about 10 minutes to figure out how to put it back together. Changing it with the help of the video wasn't hard but confusing at times. Thanks for the video.

Trial and error. The spring was difficult to install, the pin and door were easy.

1. Turn off the electrical switch that powers the dishwasher. 2. Open the door of the dishwasher and find the two phillips head screws that secure the top of the dishwasher to the kitchen counter. 3. Remove the screws. 4. Gently move the machine side-by-side a bit while pulling it out onto the kitchen tile (be careful, the water-supply hose, electric cord, and dishwasher drain hose may not be long enough to allow you to pull it out very far - don't break or kink the hoses). 5. Remove (pull off) the black plastic fastener located on the bottom/rear of each side of the dishwasher. 6. Remove the old surround. 7. Lay the new wrap in place and secure with the two plastic fasteners. 8. Push back into place, secure the two screws, check your hoses.

Shut off water supplyand removed front cover below door. Remove flexable water line (wrench set), valve and bracket (nutdriver), and input hose (pliers). Installed flexable line on valve, replaced input hose on valve, then installed valve and bracket. Found screen on input to valve almost completely blocked with buildup of materail. Replaced front cover. result, bright, clean dished.

Performed repair as to Video shown in receipt after purchase of spring plus we used a friend who has same dishwasher and has performed the same repair recently, video was easier to follow though. All you do is push off lid with a screwdriver and pop off as per instructions on video then unlatch spring from ledge and pull off post, then just reinsert new spring in reverse order or follow video instructions either way is easy and takes about 15-20 minutes to install

Bought a house and with it can an old whirlpool dishwasher in where the soap dispenser lid would latch, as the latch itself was gone. Ordered the latch from part select and used the installation video to switch the latch out. Only problem I came across was that the torx screws at top of he door were free spinning. Ended up using a flat head for leverage to finally get the screws out. Everything works perfectly for once.

Using a Torx screwdriver, I removed the fasteners holding the control panel/latch section of the door on the dishwasher. I tested the high limit thermostat with a multimeter. Just two terminals, one being power in, the other power out. The part had what I have heard call a "high resistance open". In other words, the power was not getting from "A" to "B". Power in - not out. After cutting power to the unit, I removed the part (just pull it out of the retaining clip and pull the terminals from the part). After receiving the part...by the way, really fast delivery...I reconnected the part (it doesn't matter which wire goes where), pushed the part back into the retaining clip, replaced and fastened the control panel, then restored power to the unit. Runs like new.

Replaced the door gasket and float and switch - no improvement. Still leaking about 1 quart water per load. Hmmmmm. Took the lower arm off and discovered a screw missing and the impeller gasket below lower arm was bad. It is a gasket about 4 inchs in diameter, it was stetched and torn. The missing gasket was allowing water to shoot across the wash water like Moses parting the Rea Sea. Wave water was going up the float (and out) and up the lower door gasket (and out). Ordered the screw and the "rubber band" gasket. Took about five minutes to drop / screw them in. Several other screws were backed out part way. Now the floor is completely dry. Dishwasher is fixed. Wife is happy. I saved $1200 on the new dishwasher she does not need. In addition, the water squirt out of the pump impeller cover was lowering the water pressure in both arms. Now the dishes are dramatically cleaner and better scrubbed than they have been for the last couple years. Glasses sparkle again. Thanks PartsSelect for the diagrams and instructions. Allen.

Turn off the breaker to the dishwasher - there will be water very near the motor and other electrical components. I first scooped and towelled all the water out of the bottom of the dishwasher. The drain valve can be accessed from the bottom front of the dishwasher without pulling the unit out from under the counter. There were 4 screws to remove the 2 bottom metal panels. Next use pliers to loosen and slide back the hose clamp connected to the drain. Have a towel ready and pull the drain hose off the white check valve. The check valve can then be removed by unscrewing it - you may need to use pliers. Put the new one on and everything back together.
