The Dishwasher had a no power symptom
I researched the internet about this symptom on the Kenmore Elite Dishwasher and I found lots of people with the same problem. Everyone fixed it by replacing the Bi-Metal Fuse. I removed the old fuse and tested continuity and it was indeed bad. Once the new fuse arrived I tested continuity and it of course worked as expected, so that was a nice wipe of the brow. The new Bi-Metal Fuse came with a nice instruction manual. I also used a video from YouTube to help with the repair as well, but the included instructions were enough. The only thing that was not clear was the best way to attach the new wire since it was quite a bit longer than what was orginially there. So I ended up just folding it up and putting everything back together and it worked just fine. This repair was very easy as long as you are OK with cutting and stripping wires in a somewhat confined space and not being too worried that you might mess it up for good... :)

There was no problem
I simply had to hook up the power cord to the dishwasher so i could plug it into the outlet rather than direct wire the appliance. Everything went very smoothly. Everything needed for installation other than tools was provided. Easy to follow instructions if you know a little about electrical wiring.

Worn out door gasket
Easy to do. Less than fifteen minutes total and only tool required was a screw driver. Simply pulled out the old gasket by hand and then pressed in the new one with the screw driver. Anyone could do this.

Replacement parts from factory installed using u tube support video
Also replaced stop ends for top rack by removing old clip in to push down and lined up to secure in slots at end of rack, notice new plastic parts are installed by pushing hardware into slots downward until they clip into place

Dishes were not drying properly
Did the repair, but needed one extra step not described in video:
I followed the directions on the PartSelect Youtube video - very helpful! I do believe the heating element was the original culprit, as it had a "burn" area about the size of a dime that caused it to almost break into two parts. Obviously a point of failure.
BUT - after replacement, it still did not solve the problem of the dishes not drying.
After much web searching, I tried the diagnostic mode on the dishwasher, and that did a hard reset of the logic board and FIXED the problem.
So in all, it required both a new heating element AND a hard reset via diagnostic mode.

Followed the easy how-to video from PS. It was as easy as changing a light bulb.

The dividers were breaking off the top rack of our dishwasher. Order new rack and installed in minutes. Works great.
Took out old rack by twisting the rack supports. Used old supports because in good shape. Removed the wand from old rack and placed on new rack. Then replaced the supports. Worked great.

Follow the u tube instruction. Replacing the pump was very simple and easy. The hard part was getting the dishwasher out of the cabinet and back in again.

On the the lid of the dispenser a tiny tab that engages with a tiny bar that is supposed to hold the lid closed on the detergent until released by a solenoid at a certain time in the cycle. It allowed the lid to open prematurely.
I performed the repair exactly as shown in the online video site accessed by entering the url that came with the order. The video was correct in every aspect.
The tiny little tab on the new dispenser broke on the first use of the machine. Very weak part of the process. We will secure lid to the detergent by another means, which we had been doing for some time anyway. Can't afford another $75 plus shipping. Very weak design.

Dishwasher had a pool of water in it after using it.
Soak up the water in the dishwasher with an old towel. Removed the cover under the dishwasher. Found the pump and twisted it off anti clockwise. Replaced with the new pump. Run a quick cycle, to make sure it pumped out all the water. My wife has used it several times since without any issues.
