GSD3400G20CC General Electric Dishwasher - Instructions

Removed all 8 wheels and inserted the new one after inserting the axles into each wheel. Replacement wheels had a much better connection to the bottom rack and do not anticipate any problems in the future.

I took the inside of door off to install both gasket and gasket insert. Much easier this way. Also it’s much easier to fish locking handle through the door if you extend the handle half way and put through opening when raising the door.

Hired my neighbor, who is a plumber.

UNPACKED WHEELS AND CLIP. USING NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS SQUEEZED WHEEL TIP TO INSERT IN WHEEL. REMOVED OLD WHEELS AND RETAINER BY HAND. INSTALLED NEW WHEELS INSTALLED AND NEW RETAINERS

Took screws out of door panel to get to the latch and replaced old latch with new one. Super easy

Installed new lower rack wheel kit

Took end caps off roller guides. Slid old out...slid new in...poped end caps back on...done. Too EASY!

I watched the convenient video and saved an old machine that I've grown to love. Plus I didn't have to pay a repair service or have to buy a new machine.

Squeeze the new link to the cable hook with pliers while locking the vise grip to the cable for easier handling. Then, using the vise grip on the cable, hook the other end of the link to the dishwasher door hook

I took the inside door off as shown in the gasket insert video and it made much easier to clean and insert the door gasket.

I used the pump/motor replacement kit. It was a very easy repair and the parts were a direct replacement with no modification necessary. I saved over $300.

I watched the video instructions and it looked easy! The old gasket just pulled right off easily! Installation of the new gaskets was quick and easy!

Without any specific directions with the part (which would had been nice. If it wasn't for my husband I wouldn't have known where to start.) I had to carfully pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet (it wasn't heavy) to unplug the power supply. Then we unscrewed 2 screws on the top and the upper arm connection came off. We replaced it with the new one, screwed it back on, reconnected the power supply and pushed the dishwasher back where it belonged. It worked out very well.
Also I want to say I am very happy with the length of time it took to get my part to me. (1 day) I was washing dishes it no time.

I removed the dishwasher, removed the front kick panel, layed the dishwasher on its back, loosened the clamps and removed the old motor and pump assy. Cleaned up the area where the unit was, Installed the new unit, tightened the clamps and it was done. Probably took around an hour because of my cleaning up the sealing areas.

DISCONNECT POWER TO THE DW FIRST! First of all, I need to let you know that my DIY skills usually involve calling someone else to do the job! But I found a couple of good videos online that provided some basic information about the remove/replace steps for the timer. What they DIDN'T warn me about was that there is a spring-loaded lever located directly between the timer and the dw door. When I took the timer off, the lever and spring went flying! The lever that fell off is actually a part of the soap dispenser mechanism. It took me a while (45 minutes) to figure out how all of the pieces went back together. There is a small post on the door that one end of the spring attaches to. The other end of the spring attaches to the open end of the white lever - this lever goes between the timer and the door- kind of an important step to make sure you have these pieces when putting the unit back together! As you put the cover back on the dw door, make sure that the white lever and the black soap dispenser lever are connected (you will have to spin the black lever so that it will connect with the white lever). Just make sure to take your time and breathe! This was a little frustrating at first, but if you relax and try to visualize how the pieces fit together, you'll be running dishes again in no time!
