GSD2230F01WW General Electric Dishwasher - Instructions

The instructions provided are very good if I had done before. My concern was getting the gasket to sit properly at the bottom where you cannot see. I removed the inside of the door (7 screws) and this made it easier to assure gasket sat properly in the track. may have cost an extra 15 minutes but worth it. If I do again I will take door apart again, however I think this is fixed and should not need attention again.

Diconnected the power,removed the escutcheon from the door panel, took a digital photo of the inside so I would be sure to reconnect all the switches and wires correctly, then removed all the connections and the old panel. Replaced with the new panel and reconnected all the switches, etc.
I highly recommend taking a photo like I did before you unhook everything. It is a nightmare to reconnect if you do not know the sequence.

So, the solenoid was melted and needed to be replaced. If you're looking from the front of the dishwasher it's on the left side and it has 2 screws and a c ring. I couldn't get the c ring back on, but the piece stays on without it. Works fine now.

Order the part through you guys and also ask to see if there could be something else wrong. I got an e-mail back the first buisiness day and you sent me the part that day also. I installed the coil and it's be running good ever since. Thanks for your speedy service and technical support.

Squeeze the new link to the cable hook with pliers while locking the vise grip to the cable for easier handling. Then, using the vise grip on the cable, hook the other end of the link to the dishwasher door hook

I took the inside of door off to install both gasket and gasket insert. Much easier this way. Also it’s much easier to fish locking handle through the door if you extend the handle half way and put through opening when raising the door.

I watched the convenient video and saved an old machine that I've grown to love. Plus I didn't have to pay a repair service or have to buy a new machine.

Basically a broken timer knob. A replacement was exactly what was needed. Perfect fit and part. Excited I don't need a new machine. Just insert new part!

I watched the video instructions and it looked easy! The old gasket just pulled right off easily! Installation of the new gaskets was quick and easy!

Took screws out of door panel to get to the latch and replaced old latch with new one. Super easy

Removed the 4 screws on front inspection plate and had easy access to solenoid switch. Unplugged unit and switched out with repair kit. So easy a caveman could do it...

lol it just slip on in 2 seconds...but i like to thank you for your prompt service and very informative site

There is nothing worse than having a knob break off when using the dishwasher. The great thing is that I was able to go on the internet and found your supply outfit. I ordered the replacement and had it to install in less than 48 hours. The knob was the right one and now I use the dishwasher again TNX

I connected one end of hose to the drain using a hose clamp and screwdriver then connected the other end to the dishwasher using anouther hose clamp and a screwdriver..

I removed 2 screws a wire plug connector and replaced the old part. The total repair including putting the cover plate back on only took about 15 minutes. Also I saved approximately $130.00 by doing this repair my self.
