Rinse Dispenser Cap melted on heating coil
Opened dishwasher after it completed a wash cycle. Found the rinse dispenser cap had come off during the wash and melted on the heating coil at the bottom of the machine. Pulled cap off of coil, made sure coil was not disturbed. Looked in various sites for cap. Finally found this site where I didn't need to order the whole mechanism and could order just the cap. Received the cap, screwed into the dispenser, fixed. The only problem I had was that there were two possible caps so I picked the one that was the same color as the original one. Project completed. Thanks

Roller rusted off lower rack
removed original rack, inserted replacement.

Replaced lower rack assembly
Simply took out the broken rack and inserted the new one.

aid cap melted
Twisted new one in place of old. Disappointed that there was a melting issue at all. Need to investigate problem.

Grate in bottom of the basket broken
Removed old basket, put in recycle bin, placed new basket in dish washer. The damage to the original basket was my fault. I now know not to drop heavy knives point down into the basket.

tear in the tub gasket
Pulled out the old gasket and replaced with the new gasket. Inserted the steel spring clip into the ends of the gasket. Repair complete.

The latch on our dishwasher broke
I unscrewed all the screws from the inside of the dishwaher door. I took out the broken part, installed the new parts and screwed the screws back in. Part Select was wonderful to work with and the parts arrived the day after they were ordered.

Our tub gasket was torn by leaning utensils (a definite design flaw.)
Just have a good look at how the original is installed before removing, then clean the area. The new one was a breeze to install, just line it up and pop it in.

Detergent dispenser would not latch
Repairs do not get any easier than this. Remove 12 screws to disassemble door panel (be careful not to let front panel of assembly to drop or bend when screws release it). Remove 6 screws to remove old detergent dispenser. Unplug cable from old dispenser. Connect cable to new dispenser. Install new dispenser into door with 6 screws and then reassemble door panel with 12 screws making sure to keep all wiring free from pressure points.

Fractured brass bezel on bottom of valve- Leaking
simply removed broken valve and replaced with new valve, easy peasy. shipping was GREAT, Overnight. all in all a easy fix.

Easily screwed on this part and used it for the door of the dishwasher to properly open and close

after the appliance repair guy was here the last time...
i noticed that the time did not light up on the digital display on our GE profile dishwasher. I asked the repair guy about that and he just shrugged his shoulders. We are getting ready to sell the house and I wanted everything to be as good as it could get, so I opened up the dishwasher front panel to see if he just left it disconnected. He did indeed leave off the ribbon cable for the display. I reconnected it and it worked!!! but then putting it back together I noticed that the flapper in the handle was broken. Ordered that and some retainer clips for the combs. Parts came, I took a while to figure out the assembly, and voila... the dishwasher was back together and working.

Water pump had a dead spot.
After reading other customer responses I decided to attempt the repair myself. After pulling out dishwasher I turned it on it's side and prodeeded to remove the 3 screws holding it in place. FIFTEEN minutes later I pushed it back into position and it has performed like new for the past month. Comparing parts and service I saved about $200.00 on this self repair. I would not hesitate to undertake another repair after my experience.
