The axles on the bottom rack of my dishwasher were letting go and wheels were lying flat
The repair was very simple. I removed all eight wheels and discarded the old axles by pinching them out of each wheel and replacing them with the new (and improved) axles. I then turned the rack upside down and simply snapped the wheels back on the spindles. It took me longer to explain this than it took to make the repairs.

Axle attachment breaks on lower rack
Remove all wheels on one side. Use pliers to remove broken axles from wheels. Pop in new axles, then go to lower rack and attach to rack by pushing axle pinch mechanism onto rack support. New axles do not look like old ones—they are improved.

The lower rack wheels kept coming off
I examined the wheels and noticed that they were actually fine, it was just the clip on axles that had worn out. I had recently used a dishwasher cleaner, I think that was the straw that broke the camels back. The replacement axles that I ordered were actually a bit different than the original. It turns out they had been greatly improved, so the new ones snapped easily into place by hand. The lower rack rolls perfectly, like new!

New wheels for lower rack on dishwasher.
Ordered on a Friday and parts arrived Sat. No tools required. Pieces easily slipped into place. Dishwasher is all fixed. This site is much easier to use than GE's. Will use PartSelect for all future replacement parts.

Wheels keep falling off dish rack.
So easy and the posts on the site were incredibly helpful in determing what part i needed. The wheels on the dish rack inside the dishwasher kept falling off. I had to keep lifting the dish rack in and out of the dish washer to load and unload it. Unbelievably annoying. I popped the old wheel axels out of the exisiting wheels and replaced them with the new wheel axels I ordered from PartSelect. Then I attached the wheels back on the dish rack and it was right back to normal.

soap dispenser latch was broken & didnt shut
We had to replace the soap dispenser. My husband is not very handy & this was a snap. You take off the front panel (cover) of the sishwasher & simply unscrew the old one & screw in the new one. I probably could have done it myself.

The wheels kept falling off the bottom rack of the dishwasher
My husband took off all the wheels and changed the axles. We had friends who had the same problem and they led us to your web site.

All the wheel axles were broken or loose on the bottom tray of the dishwasher.
The repair was so simple a child could do it. It took less than five minutes and now the drawer rolls smoothly and is quite sturdy.

Wheels kept coming off dishwasher basket upon pull out
I hand removed the snap in wheel axels and replaced the axles with new ones, by hand, no tools needed. On this dishwasher basket the wheeel axels just snap onto the metal cage "wires" of the roll out basket holding the dishes. Very simple. Used pliers to squeeze each old axle retaining nubs, from each of the eight wheels, , then just slipped (pulled the wheels off the axles) and discared only axles (that here the problem, detaching frequently from grasping the pull out dish basket, due to heat taking the temper out of their gripper (to basket).

Door had no resistance/no balance/would fall open
First, remove the bottom front covers (two parts four screws). Second, remove the two screws at the top that secure the dishwasher to the counter. Third, gently pull away the dishwasher from underneath the counter just far enough to see and be able to remove the door spring(s) - one on each side. Fourth, remove the existing hinge arm link(s) if not already broken off, replace with the new one(s). Note that the door hinge goes on the door (front) side of the spring and the other side fits into a groove on the door arm - the other end of the spring attaches to one of the 3 available holes on the frame at the bottom. It would be a good idea to replace the hinge arm links on both sides even if only one is broken. Make sure that the door has the right tension (each spring can be hooked in 1 of 3 holes to adjust the tension). Then gently push the dishwasher back under the counter. Finally, replace the screws under the counter and replace the covers on the bottom front. All of this should take no more than 15-20 minutes. This was an easy job!
