A hole in the dishwasher dicharge hose.
I had to remove the dishwasher from under the counter, flip it on it's side to gain access to the discharge hose attachment point, removeit, remove the other end of the hose from the sink-side and replace the hose. The sink-end of the hose has a 'collar' that must be cut to fit the fitting on the sink.

The spary arm and soil trap in my diswasher fell off into the heating element. The pieces melted no longer fitting original area. Ordered the parts at PartSelect and to our amazement, the parts came the next day even though I took 3 - 5 day shipping. We were very happy that we had a new dishwasher
Took no tools. Removed the melted pieces and snapped the new ones in the machine and I was ready to start washing!!! My wife and I are very impressed with prompt and courteous professionalism of PartSelect . I will recommend them highly. I would rate this a 5 star rating, wasn't able to change that star from one to 5

The prongs that hold the dishes were burning off.
I rolled out the old bottom dish rack and rolled in the new one with no problems. In fact, the new bottom dish rack is much better that the original that came from the factory. It only took about less than one minute.

Heating element went out
Removed the clamp holding it to the floor and
removed the c-clips holding element underneath
and put new one in. Hard part was figuring out
what was holding the element but since I still
had the schematic drawing we figured it out.
Saved a bunch on a repairman. After watching
my friend install the new element I could probably
do it myself next time.

Lower spray arm support vibrated out, melted lower spray arm.
Grab the tab on the support and rotate 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to unlock it, then lift it off. The lower spray arm simply pops off the support by spreading two tabs underneath.

Align the opening in the lower spray arm support with the outlet post in the bottom and rotate 1/4 turn clockwise to lock.

*Note: direction to remove the filter basket differed from the manual. Visually line up the notches and do not twist too far when locking or you WILL break the retainer tabs.

Simply center the lower spray arm over the support and press down until it locks into place.

wrong part
FRIDGEADAIRE - GALAXY SERIES -Part arrived within 3 days of order BUT it was wrong part. All excited about getting the upper wash rack in full operation once again. Pilled shelf out to remove gasket to find it looked nothing like the one on there. The part I need is like a bellows of sorts that fits on the water line attached to the upper shelf. The part received goes on the back wall.
Now i am back at square one with part I don't need and hoping for the part I do need

Dishwasher Leakibng
Removed the bottom covering on dishwasher and then ran it to figure out where the leak was coming from. Noticed it was dripping off hose, but not actually leaking from hose.

Unplugged dishwasher and slid it out from cabinet area (be sure to turn off and disconnect water supply)

Followed delivery tube up side of dishwasher to top of tub and noticed reminents of where water ran down side of tub.

Loosened delivery tube by plastic nut inside of tube and removed. Noticed gasket was partially depleted.

Ordered new gasket, replaced and put everything back together. (Be sure to use teflon tape on water source fitting and tighten firmly). No leaks

Broke nubs off of stem when cleaning
I took the bottom parts out. This can basically be done without tools. You need a phillips to unscrew 3 screws to remove the stem. Then easily replace with the new one. Putting the spiny washing part was kinda weird because I was afraid to break the nubs off again. I took the whole bottom carriage out so I could see better, pushed down kinda hard and twisted the right way (figure out which way needs to be twisted before hand by looking through the bottom of the stem).

Water leak underneath dishwasher
Unplugged dishwasher, removed the 2 wires clipped to the heating element, removed both cracked nuts, replaced with new nuts from PartSelect, clipped on wires, plugged in and did a test cycle. Based upon service quote from Best Buy, I saved myself $125.00 for just the call out, not including parts and labor.

Replace lower gasket on dishwasher
Remove the lower dish tray and set aside. Remove two Phillips screws on each side of inner liner, then close door. You should then be able to slip off the external facing (set aside). Pull lower gasket toward tub until fully removed. Reinsert the new gasket into the same tight slot, making sure that the notch inserts into the slot and the flexible gasket runs the full length of the tub. The gasket should bow out slightly toward the tub. Also make sure that the side seals do not interfere with the bottom seal fully mating with the floor of the tub. Close the door and check to make sure the lower gasket reveal is the same across the length of the inner liner. Reinstall the dish tray, then reinstall the external facing, using the same four Phillips screws to secure. Test sealing by running a short cycle on the dishwasher.
