C200 Jenn-Air Cooktop - Instructions

so easy, just ordered the part, the part came and inserted the element into the stovetop

No brain surgery required. Removed electric burner, put in new drip pans. Voila! Good for many more years of service looking like new.

I removed the old heating element, then the drip pan and then the adaptor ring. I cleaned the residue and buildup that was under the ring and on the surface below, I then snapped in to place the adaptor ring and then oriented and placed the drip bowl in place and finally oriented and pushed the heater element leads into their socket.

I turned the heating dial on and immediately felt the element warming up.

Checked Low temp and then Hi temp.
Everything is working and looking fine. The wife wants to replace the other ones, she says that it's easier than cleaning them.

Pulled out the old burner and plugged in the new!

Pulled old knobs off, pressed new ones on. Probably well under a minute for 6 knobs. Anyone with the IQ of a horseradish could have done it. But what was really great was the help and personality of the agent at the other end of the phone. Shipping was as promised, and the entire experience was delightful!

Replaced the drip pans

I removed the old element. I then plugged the new element in place. Simple repair, no tools required. Turned the cooktop element on to test for proper functioning. It heated properly. Repair completed.
Ordering the part was easy and it arrived within 2 days. Very happy with Parts Select service.

All I had to do was remove the old burner and push the new burner into place. It couldn't have been easier.

1. Remove the exhaust vent cover, located in the center of the top of the range. It just lifts off.
2. Swivel the clamp 90 degrees to release the filter.
3. Remove the filter and throw it away
4. Place new filter in place and lock in place by rotating the swivel clamp back 90 degress.
5. Replace the exhaust vent cover

I unplugged the stove. Took out the burner and removed receptacle by pulling it out of the bracket and clipping the wires. One thing you want to make sure is that when you clip the wires from the receptacle you're replacing you leave enough wire so that you can connect them to the wires on the new receptacle when it is in place on the stove. I had just enough but would have liked more. The bracket I received didn't match the one on the stove so I used the one on the stove since the receptacle itself was the same as the one I was replacing.

Replaced the element. The part came the next day which was great. Good customer service!

First I disconnect the breaker. I removed the defected receptacle and cut the wires. I connected the new receptacle with parts with the new part. Turned the breaker back on and everthing worked fine.

Removed old knobs and installed new. No tools were required.

Fed-Ex delivered the package and within 10 min I had open the package, removed the old knobs and installed the new ones, My wife was very impressed with the ease of the transactionl. It is good to know that we can still get parts for our cook top even though it is 26 years old. Thanks for every thing.
