cooktop comes with two burners and a grill. I needed 4 burners.
Never really used the grill and needed 2 more burners so I just pulled out the grill assembly and plugged in the burner assembly, added the new pan cover and new grates and viola, I had a four burner stove. Still can pop the grill back in if needed. Much less expensive than buying a whole new cooktop.

My burner grate needed to be replaced
My husband threw a pot holder on the hot (not lit) burner grate. The potholder melted on the grate and we were not able to remove the melted fabric. We ordered a new grate and it looked so good we ordered three more. I am planning to replace the burners next. We'll have a brand new looking cooktop. The cooktop is 15 years old.

to convert a cook-top stove with 2 burners and a side grill into a 4 burner stove.
Replacing the side grill burners was easy--lift off the grill covers and pull out the grill burners. Next, attach the new front and rear burners to the burner plate with 2 screws (the older version uses 4 screws) using a nutdriver. Place the 2 burner unit (now joined) into the 2 gas inlets (no screws necessary--just slip them over the tubes). Insert the grill pan over the burners and place the 2 burner grates over each burner. Done!

All of stove top parts grungy/peeling/burnt out
Replaced all 4 burners, grates, pans, middle grate and fan/light switch. No real "repair" except for the switch, which has two phillips screws to remove the little panel the switch is enclosed in. The fasteners holding the switch TO this panel were VERY difficult to remove, you have to destroy them to get them off! Once that is done, removed the wires from old broken switch, placed them on new switch (now attached to the panel) placed panel back in to position, replaced the two screws and DONE! It was all quite easy and the stove looks brand new now.

Worn out burner grates
Lift and replace. This was the only web site that gave a picture with the correct size of the grates I was looking for. All the other sites gave approximate sizes and universal part numbers instead of the vendor part number. That is why I bought it here. I didn't want to have to return the product because it was off just a bit.

The Burner Grates were old and bent out of alignment.
The repair was as easy as could be. We simply lifted off the old burner grates and set the new ones in their places.
