Does the lever and spring come inside the gear and spindle ?

My electronic trigger switch burned out. Can I get a replacement? That is the part number for a model mte912 string b & d string trimmer. I also need the two aluminum heat shields that go on both sides of the trigger switch.

My Weed Eater line comes out in long sections and wraps around the shaft. Do i need to replace the lever?

Hi Ginger,
Thank you for your question. If the trimmer line keeps coming out in long sections, the line may be wound backwards. Check your owner's manual for information on how to properly wind the line for your trimmer. If the spring is missing from inside the trimmer head, the line will continue to come out.
If you have replaced the old trimmer head with a new one that is not the correct size, then the line may keep coming out. Using trimmer attachments will cause the trimmer head to wear out more quickly and this may cause the line to keep coming out. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
