Stopped making ice.
I watched the video and it seemed pretty easy. I ordered the new ice maker. It arrived in 5 days and I chanted it in less the 30 minutes. A little tricky seeing where you have to loosen the screws but not hard. and in 2 hours I had ice again.

Side Mounted Ice Maker Quit Functioning,
1st my 72 year old husband has not had great success in repairing anything: electrical or plumbing. We got the part the next day. Had ordered it late one afternoon and had it the next morning in Wyoming. From the time we took it out of the box, disconnected the old one, plugged in the new one, remounted, it took less than 15 minutes. Amazing and it works great. Didn't need extra electrical connector, but tricky part on electrical connectors is to squeeze side to take apart and put back together. He used mirror to see the screws to loosen to take out and put back in ice maker. Next day our tray was full of ice. Good service/Good Product.

no ice
instructions were very simple. Took about 10 minutes to replace the unit. Do NOT get excited about immediate ice because it took mine awhile to g et cranked up for full production. Anyone can do this! Saves about $150.00 in labor to have someone(no smarter than you) do it for you.

The ice maker quit making ice.
I noticed that the two gears weren't meshing together so upon inspection I saw that one of the gears had an inner piece missing making it weak so it kept popping out away from the other great. I ordered the new gear and unscrewed the old one off and put the new one on. So easy. It made Ice beautiful after that

Ice maker not generating much ice
We reviewed the video posted on your site for guidance. It was very helpful to see someone do the repair. The project went just as described in the video. Within 24 hours I had a full bin of ice!

Not making Ice/ unit not calling for water
Unplug refrigerator power cord. Remove ice cube bin. Place wire signal arm in down (off) position. Ice Maker is held in place by two (slotted/hex headed) screws through keyhole slots over the top of Ice maker along the left side of freezer. Use mirror to locate screws then carefully loosen (do not remove) screws with a nut driver or screw driver. Lift Ice maker up and right until it releases from the screw heads. Unplug electrical connection. A flat screw driver may be required to loosen connector. Connect new unit electrical and Install new unit over screw heads and tighten screws. Replace Ice Bin and place wire signal arm in the up (on) position. Reconnect refrigerator power cord. After freezer cools down sufficiently it will start making ice.

Ice maker quit making ice
I followed the video that came with my email receipt but i had to use the extra electrical adapter, there is no where to put the extra wiring so it is hanging next to the wall. I was glad I didn't have to unplug the fridge. just kept the wire up so no water would come out. It took several hours to start working and it doesn't make as much ice as the old one, but at least it works. It was a very informative video. Thanks

Ice Maker replacement
Went well overall. I really thought that you guys taking the time to create a very helpful video was awesome. Thanks for doing that! The only difficulty I had was that my old ice maker had the connection toward the front, while the new one was in the back. So I had to use the adapter and had so much extra wiring to bundle, and tie wrap, with little place to go with it that I got frustrated. Wish I just had the correct replacement wire to begin with. Nonetheless, we are stocked with a full bin of ice after about 3-4 days.

Failure of temperature control
Unplugged refrigerator. Removed control knob and cover. Unwired control and removed same. Removed plastic tube from old capillary tube and placed on new unit. Installed and wired in new unit, making sure new unit was in the "off" position. Plugged in refrigerator, turned control knob to the first numerical setting, and was rewarded with the startup of the refrigerator compressor. Voila!

Ice maker quit working.
The two screws that held the ice maker in place could not be seen do to there location. I could only get one hand inside do to space restriction. So I placed a mirror inside so I could see the screw heads and from point it was very easy to see and line up the nut driver on the screw heads. I then lifted it up and unplugged the wiring and installed the new ice maker. Works like a charm. Paul

Refrigerator would not cycle and coils were freezing up.
It was fairly easy to replace the thermostat. Unplug the refrigerator first. Then remove the refrigertor light bulb and 3 screws on the plastic cover that houses the thermostat and defrost timer. Unplug the thermostat from the wiring on the refrigerator and remove the plastic housing holding the thermostat. Remove two screws holding the thermostat and replace with the new one. Put everything back together in reverse order. Unfortunately, this did not corrrect my problem. The refrigerator is well over 30 years old and I had narrowed down the problem to the thermostat because the old one was hard to turn to adjust. About 10 years ago, I replaced the defrost heater in the rear of the freezer compartment for the same problem, and didn't think that would be the problem this time. Well, as it turned out, I checked the resistance on the defrost heater and it was was bad again. I replaced the heater this week I got from PartSelect, and the refrigerator cycles fine now. Replacing the heater is a little more work that changing the thermostat. You have to remove the freezer compartment fan, fan vent, and back inside wall of the freezer section to expose the coils and the heater element. You just need a socket screw driver. Then you have to reach inside and unplug each end of the heater to check it with your ohm meter. A bad element will show up as an open circuit. Then to replace it, you have to maneuver it around to get if away from the coils and remove a couple of clips. Anyone with some common sense can do it, but it can be a bit challenging.
