This replacement anvil assembly is specially manufactured for Dewalt impact wrenches. It is a genuine OEM sourced part, not an aftermarket equivalent. This part is used to secure different bits. The anvil can wear out on both sides. Either from inside the drill housing where the hammer mechanism strikes it or from the outside where it meets your bits. If this happens, you'll want to replace the anvil. Includes one metal anvil per order. Replacing an anvil on an impact wrench is rather a simple task that should only require a screwdriver and a set of wrenches. • Remove the housing barrell • Remove the old anvil • Secure the new assembly in place • Reassemble and test the wrench
