This is a genuine manufacturer-sourced replacement part which is specially designed for Chicago Pneumatic impact wrenches. The purpose of this spring-detent is to apply tension on the ball in the valve-reverse. If the hardware is worn or damaged, this will provide an identical replacement for the original component that was installed on a new unit. Note, this high-quality spring-detent is made of durable metal and is sold individually. A screwdriver will be needed to perform this repair.
