on some spots on the washer timer it starts filling and keeps draining instead of keeping it and washing. other spots its fine

Thank you for your question. If your washer is filling and draining at the same time, make sure that the drain hose is not shoved too far down in the standpipe. If it is, a vacuum will form that will cause the water to drain as the washer is filling with water. Raise the hose a few inches out from the standpipe and this should resolve the issue. Broken Water Level Pressure Switch
Took the top panel off and replaced the switch. A plastic clear hose came with the kit, the whole back panel would need to come off. I didn't replace the hose. The switch was pretty easy and it went smoothly.
