This shift actuator plays a key role in the operation of your washing machine by controlling the transition between spin and agitate modes. It also relays spin speed information to the control board, helping ensure each cycle runs smoothly. If the actuator is faulty, you may notice issues such as the washer failing to spin or agitate properly, or error codes appearing on the display. Constructed primarily from durable plastic, it includes a built-in 120V/60Hz/2.8W motor for dependable performance. This OEM part is sold individually and is compatible with a variety of washer models. For safe installation, be sure to disconnect power before replacing the component.

I noticed this repairs agitator not spinning. My agitator spins but the tub does not spin on the spin cycle, but the agitator spins fast, then stops when the tub doesn’t spin. I’m thinking this switch is not working to engage the tub gear on the pulley. Does that sound accurate? Thank you!!!

Hello Rob, thank you for contacting us. Yes, the most probable cause of the issue is a failed actuator, part number FIX16221077. It moves an inner gear inside the gear case to initiate the wash or spin cycle. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!

Drum spin and stop
For model number 11022352510
Hi Rudy, thank you for reaching out. We have concluded that the issue is probably with the shift actuator, part number FIX16221077. It tells the washing machine when to shift from one function to another. We would recommend replacing the actuator to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!

My wife put a large blanket in the Whirlpool washer and it stopped working. I replaced the washer drive pulley kit and all was well until a few days later and she washed large towels and it now won't agitate completely just partially. Is it possible the bad pulley broke the shifter?
For model number WTW5000DW1
Hello George, Thank you for your inquiry. It is possible, although we would recommend checking the belt as well. We hope this helps you.
Washing machine intermittently does not agitate. The rest of cycle is fine, spinning, pumping, etc.. What is the most likely cause?

Hello Bill, thank you for your question. The Actuator may be the issue. It may also be a faulty Washer Drive Pulley PS10057144 or a broken Belt PS11747978. Good luck with your repair.
