Washer making ratcheting sound when agitating.
Taking it apart was easy. I found that the new parts did not allow the slip ring that came with the new kit to fit the shaft even with the thinner washer. The new slip ring seemed to be thicker than the old one. I ended up using the old large pulley, the old cam and the old slip ring and thin washer to get it to fit. It did solve the nois e problem.

no agitation and burning smell
Replaced parts as instructions were good. Turned out that I needed to replace the transmission because agitation not working. Replacing the transmission is the ultimate feat but can be done.
