Product Description

This part is the replacement switch assembly for your top-load washer. It contains the switch mechanism and the connecting wire that hooks the door latch to the electrical system of the washer. The lid switch holds lets your washer know when the door is latched, so it can begin the wash cycle. If the lid switch is damaged, it will not allow the washer to run properly. Be sure to disconnect the washer from the power and water sources before you begin this repair. This part is sold individually and is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

The washer was purchased in Panama for a boat. The boat traveled over to Australia where someone sat on top of the lid and broke the lid lock. Being in a foreign country made it very difficult to get the part. We contacted this site and they shipped it overnight (arrived on the doorstep within 16 hours of ordering) to another crew memb er that was flying out that day. When the part arrived, we took the whole top off of the washing machine, triple checked to make sure we were doing it right, and the part easily snapped into place - plug and play! Thank you...without your fast delivery of the part, we would have been doing laundry with a washboard for the next year!
