Product Description

This water inlet valve controls cold water flow for the bleach dispenser and prewash cycles. It has one standard hose inlet and three angled outlets—two to the right, one to the left. Designed for select washing machines, it ensures proper water distribution. Disconnect power and water before installation.

LG Washer was displaying the FE code.
I found the instructions for the repair on a YouTube video and decided to attempt it myself. I saved $250.00 to $300.00 by doing this simple repair myself. I bought the parts from this site. I took the top off the washer (2 screws) and removed the screws holding the Inlet valves. (I took a photo of the associated hoses and electric con nectors just in case). Installed the new parts and put the top back on. Done. The parts price was so reasonable I decided to replace the hot and cold water inlet valves to be safe although I only needed the cold water valve. It took me longer to clean the lint and debris behind the washer than to do the repair. The parts were a perfect fit and arrived before the promised delivery date. I am a happy camper and will definitely order from this site if I need to do another repair.

Water leaking from solonoid valve
Take the 4 screws that are located on the back of the washer (Plastic brackets/stops) and the lid slides back and unlocks from the 4 pins on top. Do not lift up, Slide the lid back, It's a tight fit, but it keeps the top from rattling. The valve assy is right there on top. Water inlet hoses connect to it (cold water) Remove the 3 small ho ses, 2 screws and 3 electrical connectors. Remove it and install in reverse order, Easy!

Inlet Water Valve Assembly Leaking
Replaced the assembly following the video instructions on this website. This was a very simple and affordable fix. Took less than 15 minutes and ~ $40.

Water leaking
Remove two screws in the back of the top and remove top. Remove two screws holding valve assembly and the three hose clams with pliers and remove hoses. Unplug three electrical connections. Assemble in the reverse order. Be sure to shut of water supply and unplug the washer.

Water was leaking on floor.
I took the back off. Then realized the water was coming from above. So I took the top off and saw the water was leaking between one of the inlet valves. I ordered on-line and part arrived 5-days later. Very easy to repair. Just unhooked the connections and hooked back up.
