Product Description

The water inlet valve in your washer connects to the water source and solenoid wires, and ensures the tub has the right amount of water entering it. If your washing machine continues to fill after it is full, or if it fills slowly, you may need to replace this valve. Before you begin this repair, be sure to disconnect the water and power sources from your washer. This part is sold individually.

washer would not stop filling
Removed the top of the machine. The valve was easily accessible. The hoses and connectors were fairly easy to remove and replace on the new part.

Washing machine would randomly refill with water after completeing a cycle
I called Sears Home Central for an "emergency" repair. I was told a repairman would be sent 6 days later (a Saturday) within a time window of 8am to 5pm (seriously?!?). I did my research on the web and youtube, diagnosed the problem, then ordered the parts. I've never before paid for overnight shipping (before 10am delivery) but decide d to do so in this "emergency" situation. The parts arrived on time and after reviewing the youtube video a second time had the washer running again in less than 30 minutes. The total of the parts and shipping was less than the service call would have been -AND that's before the labor and parts charges...IF the repairman would have had the correct parts with him. These looked to be OEM parts. I'm VERY satisfied and have this site . bookmarked on my computer for future reference! How I did the repair... I could reinvent the wheel but you should watch the video instead shopped around for the parts and this site seemed the best fit for my needs, thanks guys!

water would not shut off
remove screws in back holding on the top. remove top (a little tight, took some elbow grease to remove) by sliding it aft then up. remove all 4 electrical connectors then remove the water hoses by removing the clamps with duckbill type pliers. remove the screws holding the valve in. reinstall everything in reverse order.

Cold Water would not stop running.
The top of the washer slides toward to back to remove, after you remove the two screws in plastic tabs.
