Product Description

This timer dial with compression ring is a genuine OEM part for your washer. The dial is made of plastic and is white in color. It can be found on the timer shaft underneath the timer knob, and it features an arrow to indicate how far along your laundry is in the wash cycle. If your timer dial has become cracked or damaged, it should be replaced. Please note that this part is different and sold separately from the timer knob.

After finding like model on line used pictures of parts on partselect.com to confirm parts needed and then ordered. On arrival in two days, removed old timer knob using pliers to remove clip, removed dial (with compression ring). Installed new dial and pushed on new timer knob (DON'T remove clip and try to install later) with clip in pl ace. Clip will fall into place when installed. It took longer to find out which model family the washer was than anything.

Timer knob teeth worn off.could not select wash cycle.
First the exploded view provided in your website helped greatly I could see exactly what parts were involved. UPLUG WASHER ! 3 screws removed from back of control panel removed and the panel comes forward (hint..slide to right and it will detach from base making access easier) Pull knob out giving more room to remove plastic clip and knob comes off. 1 screw that holds timer in place removed and unplug the wiring harness. Reassemble using new parts in same manor as disassembly. Hint for putting clip on back of knob..place the clip partially on back of knob in the slot, put knob on shaft then using needle nose push the clip in place. Identifying and ordering parts here was a snap and saved me a bunch of money by not having to call a repair service. Thanks

Timer would not advance on any cycle.
I removed the timer knob clip with needle nosed pliers. Then I took the timer knob and compression ring off of their shaft. With a clean cloth and some 409,I cleaned the area behind where the knob and ring came from.I replaced all of the parts and tested the machine. It worked properly on all cycles. Until I found your site,I was prepared to spend over $700.00 on a new washer, but thankfully your instructions helped me save some money. Thank you: O.Smith

The washer knob was not engaging the timer when turned.
To remove the knob there is a small plastic clip holding it on. I pulled the knob out as far as it would normally go. Then I leaned over to look behind the knob and locate the clip. I used a small flat head screwdriver to push the clip off of the knob. I then pulled off the knob and dial compression ring. Inserted new compression ring fir st, then the knob. Installed new clip, being sure it secured the knob. That was all, very easy. The problem was cause by the plastic teeth on the knob had all broken off. This kept the knob from engaging the timer, and it would always spin freely.
