Product Description: Located on the door of front load washing machines, the Door Strike ensures that the door will lock by activating the switch, which in turn allows the appliance to run properly. If your washer door will not open or close, is leaking, or the machine will not start or spin, your door strike may be damaged and should be replaced. Regular wear and tear, or a misaligned door may cause the piece to break. This is an easy repair and requires a Phillips screwdriver. This genuine OEM part is made of white plastic, approximately 2 inches in length, and is held in place by 2 screws on the inside of the door. Simply unscrew and remove the old part, line up the placement of the new part using the notch, and tighten the screws back into place.

Replaced the door strike on the door, but the door will not lock. The part I need is attached to the washer front with wires attached from inside the washer. Please help

door doesn't latch

I ensured the part was facing the correct way. Then used a Phillips screwdriver to remove the broken part and replaced it with the new part. Screwed it tight and started washing.
