A worn oven-door seal can allow extra heat to escape while food is cooking. This replacement gasket forms a barrier around the oven opening when the door closes. Check for broken clips, loose sections, burns, tears, or areas that no longer spring back after being pressed. Before replacing the gasket, make sure the door closes evenly and the hinges are not bent or loose. Disconnect power and wait until every surface is cool. Wear gloves to protect your hands from sharp edges. Follow the service diagram when releasing the old fasteners, then seat the new gasket evenly without using unapproved glue or sealant.
