Product Description

When a swivel-base vise turns after being locked, the lock nut assembly may be worn or damaged. The nut and bolt work with the base to hold the vise at the chosen position. A working assembly also allows the base to be loosened when the vise must face a new direction. Check the threads, handle, locking pads, and base for damage before choosing the repair. Keep fingers clear while moving the vise, and only use hand pressure when tightening the lock handle. Do not strike it or add an extension bar.
