Product Description

This high quality replacement rocker switch is specially produced for a Ridgid vacuum. It is an authentic OEM sourced item, not an aftermarket imitation. Mechanical switches are commonly replaced parts in power tools, that handle on and off operations. Over time switches tend to wear our and fail requiring replacement. Please note, this plastic item is sold individually. To complete this repair no tools would be needed. This item is secured in the housing by the means of two plastic tabs on the sides of the switch.

Switch was stuck on all the time
Disconnect power cord
Remove upper motor cover with #2 Phillips head screwdriver
Remove switch by raising it out of the housing (switch is captured between the upper and lower housing no fasteners)
Remove two wires off of flat spade terminals install on new switch (no concern of wire position not polarity sensitive)
It took more time to clean the years of dust, debris and trash build-up than the switch replacement
