This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement tyle 5 drive belt used on Dirt Devil and Royal upright vacuums. It is used to drive the brush roll assembly. This belt is made out of rubber material and it is sold individually. Over time belts will wear out and stretch requiring replacement. It is recommended to replace these belts every 6 months to ensure optimum performance. Replacing a belt of an upright vacuum is a simple and quick task that should only require a screwdriver. • Ensure the vacuum is unplugged • First remove the bottom plate • Slide the belt off the motor shaft • Lift and remove the brush roll • Remove the old belt • Place the new belt on the motor shaft • Slide the brush roll through the belt • With belt in place, pull and slide brush roll into nozzle • Secure the bottom plate • Reattach nozzle guard
