This genuine manufacturer-sourced replacement fixed line head is specially designed for use with MTD and Troy-Bilt handheld string trimmers. It is an identical replacement for a missing or damaged component which came with the new unit, it the main part which cuts the grass. Over time any part may wear out and begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement, keep in mind this high-quality metal fixed line head is sold individually.
