Product Description
If the starter rope stays out after being pulled, the rewind spring or pulley may be damaged. Broken starter tabs can also keep the rope from turning the engine. First check the rope, handle, engine hub, and starter area for wear or trapped dirt. Make sure the engine itself is not stuck. Use the complete equipment model number to confirm the correct replacement. Work only after the engine has cooled, and disconnect the spark plug wire. Remove the old housing without losing nearby spacers or clips. Fit the new assembly flat against the engine and secure all screws. Test the rope several times before adding fuel or trying to start the tool.
