Product Description

This authentic OEM Reel Easy string head assembly is found at the bottom of the trimmer where it holds and dispenses the cutting line or string. It features a bump feed string head design that allows for quicker and easier reloading. Regularly inspect the assembly for any visible signs of damage or wear. If you encounter recurring issues like the line constantly breaking despite replacing it or if the reel fails to release more line correctly, it is time to replace the assembly. To change the string head assembly on your trimmer, begin by stopping the engine and disconnecting the spark plug wire. Align the slot in the flanged washer with the one in the gear head, and use the gear head locking tool to remove the current string head assembly, including the flanged washer. Remove the grass deflector and then open the assembly by pressing the latches on each side. You can now remove the string head cover, knob, and spool. Carefully position the new string head onto the drive shaft, ensuring a secure fit. Finally, attach the hex bolt to the drive shaft opening and tighten it.
