This is a genuine Ryobi part for use with Chainsaws. The guide bar is used as a guide for the rotating chain. The most common reasons for replacing the guide bar is if the saw won't cut squarely through the log and the chain falls or jumps off the bar (frequently), the bar assembly is loose or misaligned, the bar groove is worn or damaged, the saw pulls to one side while cutting, the chain is not tensioning properly or the chain is not aligned with the groove on the bar. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the guide bar is a chain adjustment tool (Scrench); or a Ratchet/socket/wrench set, flat-blade screwdriver, and a long-handled screwdriver.
