This replacement primer bulb is specially designed for use with Makita trimmers and blowers. It is not an aftermarket equivalent, this is a genuine part sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. By pressing the bulb, it will purge the air out of the carburetor. Then, the fuel will be forced up from the fuel tank through the fuel line into the carburetor. The excess fuel will be sent back into the tank through the return line. Over time bulbs tend to deteriorate and crack requiring replacement. Replacing this primer bulb you will need a screwdriver. • Disconnect the spark plug • Remove the air filter cover • Drain the fuel from the tank • Remove the air cleaner base • Remove the carburetor • Remove the old primer bulb • Secure the new primer bulb • Reassemble and test the equipment
