This is an authentic manufacturer-supplied replacement trimmer head, it is specially designed for use with Makita string trimmers. The purpose of this part is to effectively cut grass, over time the components may wear out eventually requiring replacement. It is a complete assembly which is sold individually, it includes the trimmer head pre-loaded with cutting line and the hardware to secure it.
