Product Description

This is a 12-Inch string trimmer bump head assembly. This part includes the spool assembly, spool retainer, spring and cutting line. The spool has 16 ft. of 0.080-Inch twisted nylon line. This is a manufacturer-approved part that is mostly black in color and neon green in the center. It is an easy wrap system for easy cutting and line replacement. If the bump head shows any signs of wear or damage, even if they seem minimal, should be replaced immediately. To install the new trimmer head, press the release tabs on the new spool retainer and remove the spool retainer and spool. Remove the spring from the spool base. Place the sealing washer and flange onto the motor shaft. Position the spool base, flat washer, and spring washer onto the motor shaft. Hand-tighten the nut clockwise on the shaft. Use one hand to hold the spool base, use a 1/2-Inch (13mm) socket wrench to tighten the nut clockwise. Position the spring in the mounting hole of the spool base and push it into position. With the spool base facing downward, align the tabs on the spool retainer with the slots in the spool base and press the retainer down until it snaps into place.
