Product Description

It is a genuine OEM supplied part that is specially made for use with Craftsman trimmers. This is an identical replacement for a missing or a damaged starter pulley that was installed on a new unit. The pulley is an important component of the recoil-starter mechanism which allows a user to pull-start the engine. Make sure to check the appropriate diagrams of your specific model for the exact location and application of this part. Keep in mind this high-quality pulley is made of durable plastic and is sold individually. Note, the other pieces of the recoil-starter assembly are all sold separately.

Starter recoil won't engage
Take 5 torx screws out and remove 2 screws holding pulley, making sure you do not let the cover holding the recoil spring. Tie new rope on pulley the correct direction, then insert into spring and turn an extra 11/2 turns. Guide other end of rope through cover and tie to the starter handle. Reassemble.
