Drive sprocket broken into pieces and fell out. Drive pin badly bent
Had to hold the drive shaft on one end with vise grips to get the sprocket nut loosened (needed a helper). The difficult part of the job was getting the bent drive pin out and the new one in. Had to cut off one end of the bent pin out and tap it out with a hammer and small punch. very difficult to do because you cant get a very strong hit working inside the machine. Getting the new pin in was even harder. Ended up drilling a hole in the side of the compactor and inserted a longer steel punch through the side to get a compactor to get a more direct and stronger hit.
