A shoulder harness lets a backpack sprayer be carried securely while leaving the operators hands free for the spray wand. When a strap stretches, tears, twists, or pulls loose from its buckle, the tank may shift and place uneven pressure on the shoulders. Inspect the frame tabs and mounting slots because damaged attachment points also require repair. Match the replacement to the exact sprayer model. Drain and clean the tank as directed on the chemical label before handling the harness. Install the straps in the same direction as the originals, lock every fastener, and adjust the length with the tank empty. Stop using the sprayer if the harness will not stay secure.
