It is a genuine OEM sourced replacement speed selector cable which is specially designed for use with MTD and Yard Man snowblowers. The purpose of this cable is to allow a user to adjust the speed of the unit, over time the cable may wear out or break eventually requiring a replacement. It is a high-quality component which consists of a durable rubberized metal cable and it is sold individually.

How does speed control cable connect?

Hello Steven, thank you for writing. Item 17 the Cable, FIX9111833 connects to item 18, FIX9167431 to the Cable Barrel Holder and then attaches to the Item 20 FIX9134793 Shift Lever the part connects to the speed selector allowing a user to adjust. We hope this helps.
