This condenser fan motor kit is used in icemakers and freezers, the purpose is to circulate air through the condenser in the compressor area in order to keep it cool. If your fridge is making loud noises when running or it is getting too warm, then consider replacing this part to solve your problem. The tools needed for this repair: 1/4 inch nut driver, slip joint pliers, 1/4 inch drive ratchet, and small flat blade screw driver. For installation instructions, follow manual provided by the manufacturer. Unplug tool from power source before you begin installation process.

Very noisy whenever the fan came on.

Watched several online videos. Removed the fan blade, then the motor still attached to the motor mount so I could see what I was doing to attach the new motor to the motor mount. Then reinstalled the whole assembly, plugged in it's wires with the supplied adapter and attached the new fan blade. Read more...

If your freezer has stopped making ice cubes, it may be time to replace your ice maker. Normal wear and tear, or accidental damage may be the cause of this. This model includes the control device and ice mold, which are made of plastic and metal, and measure approximately 11 inches long by 5 inches wide. Please note that this kit does not include the cover, ice level arm, or the wire harness. These parts can be ordered separately, or you can use the existing parts from the original ice maker. Board diagnostics stop at Cir pump. Replaced circulation pump. Made half of one cycle of ice. Stopped. Replaced control board. Problem solved. But, set thermosensor too low on bin wall. Made one cycle of ice and stopped. Set thermosensor higher on bin wall, just above the front threshold of the bin, now all is working great. Control circuit board swap was easy except for the 2 rear screws that hold the control panel case to the bin. The holes for these screws are not visible without a mirror and are tricky to start. If your fridge and freezer are too warm it may be necessary to replace the capacitor. Other symptoms include an unusually noisy and overheated compressor. You can check the capacitor for continuity using a multimeter. This is a genuine OEM replacement part made of black plastic that measures 1 inch by 1.5 inches. When replacing this part, be sure to check the electrical contacts on the old capacitor. If they are corroded or burnt, you will need to replace the overload relay assembly as well. Be sure to disconnect the power supply to your refrigerator before beginning this repair.

Bought Capacitor, but I had to purchase Combo Start Up Kit that Cap goes into. The site said that 78% of the time my problem of both compartments being warm were resolved/repair by replacing Capacitor, but when the item was replaced it did not and my son looked further and found that it would then be the Combination Start Up Kit (Part# PS11740412), which starts the compressor. Ice machine did not stop making ice

Best guess as to cause of the problem was that the bin thermostat had failed. Since the part was was relatively inexpensive, decided to replace it to see if that solved the problem. First, turned machine off and removed ice to a level below the thermostat probe. Then removed grid cover by removing two screws, loosened the screw holding thermostat probe in place, and unplugged the thermostat wiring connector, allowing old thermostat to be removed. Reverse the process to install new thermostat. Turned machine back on. After several ice-making cycles, the level was back up to the probe , and ice production ceased as designed.
