Product Description

This part is an OEM part from Ridgid for use on a spindle sander. The purpose of the spindle knob is to lock the sanding drum and sanding belt assembly in place. This spindle knob has left-hand threads to loosen the knob turn it clockwise and to tighten turn counter-clockwise. The knob itself is made of a durable plastic with a metal shaft. This item is sold as an individual replacement part.

Quality issue part, high shipping costs
I bought this for my Ridgid oscillating spindle sander. The one I got off the shelf at HD had a quality issue caused by the knob, but I cant return since it was a gift and never got a receipt. The tapped hole in the center of the knob is not concentric therefore it acts as a cam and shakes the sander enough to not be usable. I got this one hoping that a new one would fix the issue. It hasn't. The new part has the same manufacturing issue. I'll probably buy another, but maybe somewhere else if I can find it. Im also disappointed that shipping was $8 for a tiny envelope that costs maybe 1$ and a USPS shipping fees that also maybe cost ~$1. I can get free freight shipping on other online sites.
