Ice in the bottom of freezer and water leaking on floor.
Took out freezer drawers to let ice melt, which took the longest. Then I took off bottom section in the back and replaced the P-Trap drain tube kit. That part was a piece of cake.I forgot to tell you I am 75 years old.

Water leaking from the front of the refrigerator.
Replaced the duck-bill drain valve and drip assembly with P-Trap Drain Tube Kit purchased from this site Followed the video instructions provided by this site and also viewed a video provided by Whirlpool.com. Seems this is a common problem with many refrigerators. The duck-bill valve plugs to the extent that the water from auto defro

sting cannot reach the drip pan below the fan resulting in water leaking from the front of the refrigerator. Repair took only a few minutes. Spent more time defrosting (clearing ice from the freezer with a hair dryer). Would recommend watching both videos before doing the replacement as both are very useful in their approach and tips offered.

Defrosting Water draining into bottom freezer
I had water draining from the defrost cycle into the bottom of the freezer drawer. If the ice sheet is not removed the water will eventually leak out the front of the fridge. Installed the new drain P trap drain which was not very difficult except for getting the old chute drain off the drain pan. Thought the problem had been fixed but st

ill had water draining into the freezer bottom. I had to remove the two baskets in the freezer and put a hair dryer to the vents at the back freezer and then remove the panel on the back of the fridge, then squirt hot water into the vents inte freezer to see if the water would drain into the pan where the new P trap was installed which it did. Lesson learned was even with the new P trap installed the upper drain was still blocked with ice. So do both.

We have a gallery kitchen so not alot of room. Couldn't get frig out far enough
I would not recommend installing this part if you are a novice. We have 2 1/2 car garage filled with tools so that wasn't the problem. It was working in a very confined space. I got lots of bruises and cuts but it appears to be working good again. Rick
