Water would not shut off on icemaker
Simply shut off water valve remove 2 mounting screws and disconnect 3 water lines and reverse the procedure for the new valve

Ice maker cycled but no water was sent to it.
Unplugged the refrigerator. Turned off water supply to ice maker. Checked water dispenser tube to ice maker to insure it was not iced up. Undid water supply line from valve. (Had towel in place to catch any drips.) Removed screws on lower panel to get access to valve (three screws) with nut driver. Folded back the corner of the fiber board panel to access valve assembly. Unscrewed the two mounting screws on valve assembly. Unplugged the wires from the assembly. Undid the two remaining water tubes noting their orientation on the valve (the wire plugs and the water tubes were of different sizes so it would be hard to reconnect them in the wrong way). Reversed the procedure to reassemble. The pliers were used to first loosen the water connections and then to gently retighten them. Turned on the water supply and checked for leaks. Plugged refrigerator back in and checked for operation of ice maker and water supply.

Undid the water line unplugged the two connections unscrewed two water outlet hoses and removed two screws that held it in very simple

My water dispenser would not dispence water.
I moved the fridge to reach the valve at the rear/bottom of the fridge. I simply removed the old valve and installed the new with no problem at all.I now have a working water dispenser.

water leaking and filling up the ice holding box
after i reviewed some problem solvers in this DIY section,, I decided to remove the inlet valve from the bottom of fridge and only disconnected the electric terminal plugs and both outlet hoses,, then turned the water back on,,and seen that the valve was still dripping on the ice maker outlet side of the valve,,,, either worn out or not c losing completely.. Ordered a new unit,,problem solved
