Product Description

This genuine OEM part is the plastic frame for the meat drawer shelf in your refrigerator. The glass insert is not included with this part but can be purchased separately. This shelf frame is the piece that your crisper drawer sits underneath. If the frame has become cracked or damaged it should be replaced so that it can continue to hold items in your fridge. Excess weight on the shelf or in the drawer can cause the frame to crack, so please be mindful of this to avoid damaging your replacement part.

How does it attach to the shelf?

Hello Kristi, thank you for your question. To install the shelf you need to follow these instructions. Remove all the drawers by sliding them out. Remove the shelf by sliding forward and pulling it up. Replace it with the new shelf and reinstall all drawers. We hope that helps!

Sliding deli drawer TRACK (4 sided) cracked.
The deli drawer is suspended on a horizontal sliding TRACK under the top glass shelf.
1.Simply remove all food and the top shelf from refrigerator
2. Turn the shelf over and slide out the broken 4 sided TRACK
3. Slide in the new replacement TRACK into the underside of the top glass shelf.
4. Carefully replace top glass shelf into refrigerator.
5. Slide in plastic deli drawer on the new TRACK under top shelf.
6. Caution: excessive weight in deli drawer could lead to crack in the track.

Easy Fix
The part arrived quickly. Unfortunately, this is the second time we have had to replace this meat drawer shelf because whirlpool makes such a flimsy, weak, plastic part to support the drawer that holds lunch meats and cheeses. We try not to weigh it down and are putting less in it each day. Thank goodness for fix.com for making this part easily available to us so we can repair on our own.
